April Newsletter- Weight loss edition
April Newsletter… Weight Loss Issue
As we enter spring most of us notice the few extra pounds we may have gained through hibernation of winter, and swimsuit season is roughly 10 weeks away depending on the part of the country you are in. That makes this the perfect time to reshape your body into twisted steal and sex appeal.
MedTech offers a variety of weight loss treatments. I wanted to list all the most successful ones in this newsletter and, obviously, offer special pricing for the whole month. In addition to treatment education I’m going to go over some nutrition tips as well.
If you have ever had a conversation with me regarding diets, you know I’m not a fan of trending fads when it comes to metabolism education. In my experience these types of diets work initially, then cause a plateau, and last leave the person gaining weight or worse then when they started. You can train your metabolism to properly process calories without starving yourself, depleting yourself of carbs, or the newest weird drink of lemon, cayenne pepper, tiger’s milk, snail souls and whatever else the internet tells you.
I will never promise instant gratification with treatment, diet, or exercise. However, if you combine all three of these things you will definitely see lasting results and create some great lifestyle changes. With that being said, let’s start with the treatments and special pricing first. Ill include links to nutrition tips and links to a fitness challenge for those interested.
We work closely with compounding pharmacies, and South Lake is one of our favorites. Our reps there have reported this next peptide being the most successful of all weight loss treatments. Patients of clinics across the country are losing 1 to 4 lbs weekly with out diet and exercise changes. Im not saying to kick your gym membership to the curb, but lets use it in conjunction with treatment to get as close to instant gratification as possible.

Semaglutide is a Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) produced by the gut. It increases insulin production, a hormone that lowers the blood sugar level while inhibiting glucagon secretion, which is a hormone that raises blood sugar, reduces appetite and energy intake while delaying gastric emptying. It was first developed in 2012 by Novo Nordisk as a longer-acting option to Liraglutide. In 2017 this drug was approved as an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. In June 2021, it got approved for chronic weight management in obese individuals with a (BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m2) or overweight (initial BMI ≥ 27 kg/m2) with at least one weight-related comorbidity.
- Reduces food intake by lowering appetite.
- It slows food digestion in the stomach.
- Decrease body fat percentage.
- Weight loss.
- Decreased cardiovascular outcomes in subjects with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
- Lower HbA1c levels.
- Enhance the growth of β cells in the pancreas.
To reduce adverse side effects, we recommend starting with the dose escalation chart below. Here is an example of a dose-escalation schedule to start with a lower dose and titrate up to the higher dose.
Reconstitute with 2mL of bacteriostatic water. Week 1 – 4 Inject 0.25mg (10 units) SQ weekly, week 5 – 8 Inject 0.5mg (20 units) weekly, week 9 – 12 Inject 1mg (40 units) weekly, week 13 – 16 inject 1.7mg (68 units) weekly, week 17+ inject 2.4mg (96 units) week

Tesofensine is a dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline (triple) reuptake inhibitor originally developed to treat neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s disease. Although tesofensine was not efficient in PD trials, overweight participants achieved significant weight loss. Tesofensine was changed from development for these applications as it showed limited efficacy. It did show consistent weight loss, especially in overweight or obese patients. Tesofensine, an inhibitor of presynaptic uptake of the neurotransmitters serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine, acts primarily as an appetite suppressant with simultaneous effects on fat oxidation and resting energy expenditure. Clinical trial data suggests it may potentially achieve more significant reductions in weight than that seen with currently approved weight loss agents. In Phase 2 clinical studies, weight loss over six months was more effective than other available weight loss drugs. Patients lost an average of 12.8 kg on the 1 mg dose, 11.3 kg on the 0.5 mg dose, and 6.7 kg on the 0.25 mg dose.
- Significantly affected appetite.
- Reduction in expected next meal size.
- Decreased desires for sweet, fatty, or salty foods.
- Improvement in quality of life in Physical Function, Self Esteem, Sexual Life, Public Distress, and Work.
Take one capsule by mouth daily. Go with the 500 mcg capsule.

Tetradecyl Thioacetic Acid, otherwise known as TTA, is what is known as a PPAR-alpha activator. It is an omega-3 fatty acid. PPARa activation can be seen as protecting the body from excess fats. PPARa tends to clear fats from the blood into muscle or liver cells and encourage them to be burnt for energy in these locations. The clearing of fat from the blood causes a drop in lipoproteins and a lowering of LDL cholesterol. The burning of fats causes either fat burning or reduced-fat gain. TTA can also decrease blood pressure and exert an anti-oxidant effect, the four mechanisms make this a cardioprotective compound. TTA has been shown to reduce body weight gain (primarily by reducing adiposity), provide beneficial effects on insulin resistance and elevated plasma glucose levels, and improve dyslipidemia in pre-clinical models of obesity and diabetes. Amlexanox, an inhibitor of IKKɛ and TBK1, was first developed as an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic drug used to treat asthma in the 1980s in Japan. The inflammatory kinases IKKɛ and TBK1 are elevated in obesity. Studies have shown that chronic stress triggered by obesity causes inflammation through the activation of the pathway NFKB. This pathway induces genes associated with inflammation and obesity, including TBK1. When TBK1 is activated, it shuts down AMPK, one of the master regulators of energy expenditure, reducing a cell’s ability to burn calories and resulting in fat storage. This is the mechanism by which obesity reduces energy expenditure.
- Weight loss
- Decrease LDL Cholesterol
- Improve insulin resistance
- Decreased the epididymal adipose (fat) tissue mass
- Increase fatty acid transport, uptake, and oxidation
- Lower blood pressure
- Reduction in Hemoglobin A1c and fructosamine
- Cardioprotective

AOD 9604 is a modified form of amino acids 176-191 of the GH polypeptide. Investigators at MonashUniversity discovered that the fat-reducing effects of GH appear to be controlled by a small region near one end of the GH molecule. This region, which consists of amino acids 176-191, is less than 10% of the total size of the GH molecule and appears not to affect growth or insulin resistance. It works by mimicking the way natural Growth Hormone regulates fat metabolism but without the adverse effects on blood sugar or growth that is seen with unmodified Growth Hormone. Like Growth Hormone, AOD 9604 stimulates lipolysis (the breakdown or destruction of fat) and inhibits lipogenesis (the transformation of nonfat food materials into body fat) both in laboratory testing and in animals and humans. Recent findings have shown, in addition to its fat loss properties, AOD 9604 processes many other regenerative properties associated with growth hormone. Currently, trials are underway to demonstrate the application of AOD 9604 in osteoarthritis, hypercholesterolemia, bone and cartilage repair. AOD 9604 has an excellent safety profile, recently obtaining Human GRAS status in the USA.
• Reduces body fat.
• Regulates fat metabolism.
• Stimulates Lipolysis.
• Inhibits Lipogenesis.
• Triggers fat release.
Protocol:
Reconstitution is with 8 mL of bacteriostatic water. Inject 40 units in the AM 30 minutes before food Monday – Friday. Our 6mg vial would last 20 days with 300 mcg per dose.
Stimulated Treatments
Adipex (Phentermine) Special Pricing $150 per 30 days
Adipex needs to be combined with exercise, a few healthy habits, and proper nutrition programs to help you lose weight. It is an appetite suppressant and stimulant. It will provide you with stimulating energy, which will create an thermogenic effect. Its main goal is to suppress appetite and help cut food cravings.
ECA (Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin) $115 per 30 days
Ephedrine is derived from the Ephedra plant. It induces fat loss which increases the amount of fat available for fuel, aka increasing your anabolic window for exercise (prevents muscle waste). It also increases heat expenditure, increasing the metabolic rate by 5%. It works effectively alone as a weight loss medication, however, studies have shown its effectiveness is improved when combined with aspirin and caffeine.
Caffeine stimulates the CNS and your cardiovascular system. It works as a booster for the ephedrine as a weight loss medication. Studies showed participants lost two or more pounds monthly when combined with the ephedrine. Aspirin prevents the norepinephrine levels from decreasing and helps maintain the stimulation effects of the ephedrine.
For fastest results you need to pair your weightloss treatment with a nutrition and exercise plan. For those of you just getting started or getting back into the game, the 8 week challenge is an excellent program to follow. It even helps with meal planning.
The meal prep template is just a simple guide to help you follow a healthy nutrition plan. This will teach you how to fuel for energy and growth, while regulating your insulin for fat burn mode.
The recipe book is great for bulk meal prep and busy people. These are recipes I have used over the years to keep my meal prep satisfying my taste buds, but also not killing my day in the kitchen.

It’s hard to come by well-informed people about this topic,
however, you sound like you know what you’re talking about!
Thanks
I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both
educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you’ve
hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which too few people are
speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I found this during my search for something regarding this.
